L'orto sul tetto - The vegetable garden on the roof

L’edificio consiste in un volume completamente ipogeo esposto verso valle, lato dal quale sono esposte le aperture necessarie per la ventilazione ed illuminazione naturale.
Si sottolinea la stretta connessione dell’essenza del progetto con la tradizionale costruzione delle Caselle di presidio, solitamente semiipogee ed in materiale lapideo, destinate al presidio de agricolo ed alla protezione dei prodotti della terra, degli animali e delle persone.
L’edificio è progettato affinché resti completamente al di sotto le linee del profilo attuale del terreno, e la copertura sia utilizzata come una estensione del suolo permeabile.
Le forme architettoniche sono quindi coerenti con il tema progettuale della casa minima in mimesi, organicamente inserita nel contesto e nello stesso tempo in armonia le preesistenze caratteristiche del luogo. Gli spazi circostanti ed i patii sono illuminati da luce naturale proveniente dalle aperture sulla copertura piantumata con ortaggi e semina.

The vegetable garden on the roof
The building consists of a completely underground volume exposed towards the valley, the side from which the openings necessary for ventilation and natural lighting are exposed.
We underline the close connection of the essence of the project with the traditional construction of the guard boxes, usually semi-underground and in stone material, intended for the supervision of agriculture and the protection of the products of the earth, animals and people.
The building is designed to remain completely below the current contour lines, and the roof is used as an extension of the permeable soil.
The architectural forms are therefore consistent with the design theme of the minimal house in camouflage, organically inserted into the context and at the same time in harmony with the pre-existing characteristics of the place. The surrounding spaces and patios are illuminated by natural light coming from the openings on the roof planted with vegetables and sowing.
